International Student Exchange

Basketball connects – across borders.

As part of our international focus, HIB Academy e.V. offers selected players the opportunity to participate in student exchange programs with partner schools and basketball academies abroad.

The goal is for young talents to grow not only athletically, but also linguistically, culturally, and personally. By staying with a host family, attending a partner school, and training with international teams, participants experience basketball from a new perspective – and form friendships that last a lifetime.

Our exchange programs are aimed at youth who are part of our Academy training and who demonstrate a high level of commitment, independence, and openness. Depending on the program, the duration can range from a few weeks to several months.

Highlights of the international exchange:

• Participation in school and training life abroad

• Living with a host family or in a campus dorm

• Language development (English and/or local language)

• Intercultural learning & personal growth

• Building an international network

HIB Academy provides full support for participants and their families throughout the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of the exchange – in close cooperation with our partner institutions.
